What I'm Gonna Do
03:23
|
|||
Hey, hey, hey, hey
What I’m gonna do when it’s all come through? Mama’ll be ok, I’ll be you
Who would I love? When my dream girl is taken, all I’ve got left is sleazy and faken
Who would I travel with? My friends are all busy, broke, out of money, and no fun or greasy
Where should I travel? When there’s no place to go, tomorrow has passed, somebody that I used to know
Where should I work? When I’m sitting on my butt lookin’ on virtual slots and thinkin’ of pot
Where should I study? ORT school in Cali? But what am I thinkin’, it’s too much money
We never did too much talking anyway so don’t think twice, it’s alright
Where should I live? When I fantasize the city but I have to stay, ‘til mama will be ok
When I’ll be happy?

The Land of No(r)way
03:05
|

I didn’t know what to say so I got refused from the USA, and I found myself in the land of Norway
Every morning when I wake up, I drink my coffee from a table cup and then I go and catch the 81A.
Sometimes in life when you don’t expect it
It comes in a shock and you might not like it
You pick yourself up, and loudly say:
“I got refused from the USA!”
Deep in the snow and my routine at work I had to decide, am I good friend or not? My boy back home had his wedding day
In a quick visit, fifty hours time, man I thought I’m losing my mind, this red wine booze, took out all my juice yea
Sometimes in life when you don’t expect it
It comes in a shock and you might not like it
You pick yourself up, and loudly say:
“I got refused from the USA!”
Christmas time and my brother came, we drove to the mountains flashing our game but before I left I had to go up north (he’s going up north)
On a peaceful island, fjords around me, a nowhere boy in a nest of joy, I clear my mind and I know it’s such a fine line
Sometimes in life when you don’t expect it
It comes in a shock and you might not like it
You pick yourself up, and loudly say:
“I got refused from the USA!”
La, la, la, la…
I didn’t know what to say so I got refused from the USA, and I found myself in the land of Norway

She's Too Young
03:34
|
|||
He saw her first at Montana ice cream
It was a summer night, she was spreading light
He watched her friends, the way they chat
And then he found out…
She is too young
She is too young
She is too young
After he searched, he truly found her
So he picked her from Rupin with his car
She was wearing a school shirt, small size
And then he realized…
She is too young
She is too young
She is too young
Oh what can I do? When I’m madly in love with you
Your hair is so soft, I just wanna touch
Oh you are so pretty, makes me ‘Dizzy Miss Lizzy’ yea
It's just seven years apart, please do not break my heart
So this is the story, what can I say? I want the girl to be mine and it blows my mind (blows my mind)
I look at her lips, I look in her eyes, I can't be wrong…
She is too old (just kidding)
She is too young
She is too young
She is too young
Ok let’s play
She's too…
Young

I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again
I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again
It’s hard to describe all these places I see (yea)
The only way to get here is: “You got to be free” (gotta be free man)
I’m not some random guy who shoots words with no sense (ah ah)
'Cus all you have to do now is: “Experience”
I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again
Roads full of cows they are making the rules (mooo)
Green pours the valley: “Ginger, lemon, honey”
The sky full of colors, reflecting my mood
I guess you all know it by now: “I’m feeling good”
I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again
Traveling alone is not so bad (not so bad)
Can do what I want and no one will get mad (no one will get mad)
My weed is running out so I got left with some hash
I better walk and find some weed: “At Rishikesh”
I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again
I’m walking down the mountain, my guitar in my hand
I found a bag of weed and now I’m happy again

Untouchable
05:02
|
|||
You know she’s untouchable
She’s saved by the mother of all gods
And you know it takes you down to the river of old thoughts
And then, it comes again, in the middle of the night when you look for the light
You sit in a room
of a songwriting gloom next to her
“Say you love me like you mean it”, and you do, so how can you express it
And then, once again, you’re in the river but you’re caught by the hook of the men
You can’t touch her skin
In this world no treaty would help
When you leave this fall and you’ll kill the ghost in your heart (in your heart)
And then, it comes again, in the middle of the night when you

Castles in the Air
03:28
|
|||
And if she asks you why you can tell her that I told you that I'm tired of castles in the air
I've got a dream, I want the world to share and castle walls just leave me to despair
Hills of forest green where the mountains touch the sky, a dream come true, I'll live there 'til I die
I'm asking you to say my last goodbye, the love we knew ain't worth another try
Save me from all the trouble and the pain, I know I'm weak but I can't face that girl again
Tell her the reasons why I can't remain, perhaps she'll understand if you tell it to her plain
But how can words express the feel of sunlight in the morning, in the hills away from city strife
I need a country woman for my wife, I'm city born but I love the country life
For I will not be part of her ‘Cocktail-Generation Partner's Waltz’, devoid of all romance
The music plays and everyone must dance, I'm bowing out, I need a second chance
Save me from all the trouble and the pain, I know I'm weak but I can't face that girl again
Tell her the reasons why I can't remain, perhaps she'll understand if you tell it to her plain
And if she asks you why you can tell her that I told you that I'm tired of castles in the air
I've got a dream, I want the world to share and castle walls just leave me to despair

Colorful Sparks
04:11
|
|||
Went down to the park, was lookin' for the hill
And then I saw you just chillin' good feelin'
Finally we met, it took us a week
You showed me your arm, I knew this was it
Oh Claudia
Oh yea
Oh Claudia
Yea
You had one back home but it seems you forgot
‘Cus every time we're together babe we smoke so much pot
But if I'll be true and tell the world about you
Colorful sparks are surrounding you
Oh Claudia
Oh yea
Oh Claudia
Yea
Rollin' down the highway, after I picked you up from school
We went to see the Stones baby, it was so fuckin' cool
Oh Claudia
Oh yea
Oh Claudia
Yea
Oh Claudia
Far out
Oh Claudia
And I'm out

Deep in Her Mind
03:13
|
|||
Deep, deep in her mind there's a shadow man crying
And her eyes are seeking to blossom
Deep, deep in her soul she waits for someone to call
Her lips are screaming for loving
Now I feel a bit alone so I look for someone grown
And then I feel like I'm flying
There was something in the air but it wasn't quite there
Love comes slow as only lovers know
The nights of my days are gone and the moonlight wears my crown
Life can pass you by, but no was I
Her door is definitely closed, in the window the bars froze
I know in her mind, she hears me

Bad news on my phone
And here again I'm all alone
I don't wanna sit here writing this song
You don't deserve it, you don't belong
You're not the first that denied my love
But you are the one who made me realize there is no one
If I could go back to the day we met
I wouldn't sit on the empty step
You turned off the flame inside my heart girl
I don’t know if it's possible to light it back
You're not the first that denied my love
But you are the one who made me realize there is no one
I hate the nights when I dream about you
Is it not enough to think of you?
All day long, all day long
No no
You're not the first that denied my love
But you are the one who made me realize there is no one
You're not the first that denied my love
But you are the one who made me realize there is no fucking one
You're not the first (I'm not yours)
You're not the first (I'm not yours)
You're not the first (I'm not yours)
You're not the first

I Have a Friend
03:34
|
|||
I have a friend her name is Yarden
She gets high every now and then
Everytime when I need a couch
She offers me a bed 'cus she digs me so much
Where did she go? She doesn’t know
Probably searching for the key to her door
Maybe she just forgot it
Spring break is here, time off from school
She picks me up straight to the pool
Over there I lost my head
Drinkin’ on the grass can be really bad (really bad)
Where did she go? She doesn’t know
Probably searching for the key to her door
Maybe she just forgot it
We’re getting close to the end of the year
There’s a secret inside me, she’s got to hear
I don’t know what, are my feelings for her
Do I love her like a friend?
Or maybe there is something more?
Where did she go? She doesn’t know
Probably searching for the key to her door
Maybe she just forgot it
Where did she go? She doesn’t know
Probably searching for the key to her door
Maybe she just forgot it
Maybe she just forgot it
Or maybe it’s just in her pocket

My Flight Was Today
08:12
|
|||
“Your attention please, last call for passenger Ori Ronen, your flight is about to leave! Please report your ass to gate five! Thank you”
The next story you all gonna hear is about a cute lovely stoner that’s standing right here
Yes yes yes, we start off in May, after six days in Vegas I was back in L.A.
My flight was at lunch and my morning was fuzzy, but I’ve been steady enough to be there on time
AA32! I’m not shouting at you, it’s just the number of my flight and I’ll better be on it too
Success! I was there! Sitting on my chair, biting some Pringles, licking my fingers
From the west to the east I got to JFK, my favorite President indeed although he’s not mine
But who the hell cares, I’m in New York City baby! One more bus and I see my lady
Just kidding, it’s rubbish, there is no lady! It’s my sister and her husband, his startup and their baby
The day after my sister drove to Washington D.C., of course I came along, on the road! Where I love to be
Her name is Reut by the way, just for you to know
I read a book on the floor and we walked by the White House at night, like Jenny and Forrest, it feels so right
This is America, when you’re there you feel it, it feels like a movie and you are in it
I met Kaitlin my friend from Woodstock, yea I was at Woodstock
Two years before this trip, you should hear that story too, you’ll flip
Thank you D.C. it was very adorable but now it’s my time to explore the big apple
Fresh legs and a bottle of water in my hand, took the 42 street shuttle to some territory of the UN
Man what a waste of time, I couldn’t believe I went there
I moved on inspired by Vivian Maier
You know Vivian Maier? She’s a very good photographer you should google her!
On Saturday we had a ball, chillin’ good feelin’ on a rooftop with a pool we drank too much alcohol
Three loaded grownups walking around Manhattan with baby, all sweat and buckled, ahh crazy
Greenwich Village, we found a flea market on the street and I bought a cool necklace and a book from 1967
From there I went to the City Winery, I got my ticket for the tonight show so I’ll be back there again
It was Jorma Kaukonen from the Jefferson Airplane man
Now a brilliant idea came in my mind, lead my Volunteers vinyl to the lady there: “Make sure Jorma will sign”, and he did! It surly felt great, watchin’ his concert with a signature vinyl on my lap
I spread my eyes into the big jungle and faith, life was like a box of chocolates
You never know what you’re gonna get, Forrest Gump said that
Well it’s Sunday now and we sat in the Village one last time, Washington Square Park, piano man is playing in the dark
I split for a while and I was walking to Bleecker Street and MacDougal, folk scene old venues but now it’s all with color
No worries, it was happy June afternoon after all, as long as Jack wishes him not to fall
Now how funny is that, Israel day in the middle of Central Park, Brooklyn Jews and Rasta man carrying the flag, hey that’s my country scooping in the sack! I said that
Since I had no other place to go I just went back to 271 West 47th Street
And it was still Sunday, well more like Sunday evening
Baby’s playin’ on the floor, Reut is making dinner with her husband
I’m on my laptop just going through my emails, let’s have a look on my boarding time, I’ll write down the details
I’m looking at the screen and my nose almost touches it, don’t forget I’m from Israel
The second day of the week there is Monday, but this week it’s a new month, so June the 2nd is Sunday?
This is the part when I say: “Oooh”, but if I wasn’t a folk stoner it was like: “Oh oh!”
Reut turns to me and say: “Ori? Is everything ok?”
I’m like: “My flight was today”
Three, two, one and my hysteria is on, I gotta do something! Faster the better, ah quickly, come on, yalla, let’s go, oh shit my brain is swirling like a freakin’ twister
Lucky for me, before the whole thing is a total blowout, I got Reut and her husband, they will help me out! My idea is to run to the airport and tell em’ I was late, her husband says: “You know what, I think it’s too late”
Reut was like: “Ok just take the phone and listen to me closely, this is what you’re going to say”
“British Airways, how can I help you”?
“Hi! My name is Ori, I’m 25 years old, this is my first time in America”, that’s what I was told
“I’ve been saving for this trip for so many months, I was in the army three years and now I’m just livin’ my life! I couchsurfed, I ate McDonalds and my flight was today, oh this is the reason that I called you guys, shit I forgot to say? Hi! My name is Ori I’m 25 bla bla bla”
Reut grabbed the phone from me and started to talk
“Yea show em’ big sis, you got my back!”
“Would you shut up Ori, I’m trying to listen”
“Ah… sorry I just wanna… well you know, oh nothing”
Eventually, we were on the phone with British Airways for two hours or more, I was nervous, I wanted to soar!
On the other side of the line was a woman named Jasmin
An angel that appears, a flower from the horizon
She said she has a son, same age as mine
And you know what, he’s also fuckin’ up, but he still ‘Walk the Line’
She arranged me a new flight and I paid 70 bucks only
I jumped like a Kangaroo and kissed the floor slowly!!!
Hee haw! I’m going home guys
So remember folks, next time when you’re gone for a long trip and you not quite deep
Check out your diary once in a while, ‘cus you never know who you need to dial
And next time you’re in the USA
Don’t forget!
Your flight could be today
